We are currently campaigning that the UK should negotiate a youth mobility scheme with the EU! ACT NOW!

The UK already has youth mobility schemes with Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Korea, Andorra, Iceland, Japan, Monaco, San Marino, Uruguay, Taiwan, and Hong Kong - it makes sense to have one with our neighbours. Usually these are for 4 years, after which people return home. It would have big cultural and professional development benefits, alongside economic benefits for the UK, to allow filling of skilled positions with talent from across Europe. Returning people will bring back skills, further benefiting our economy.

We need to step up to give our young people the opportunities taken from them by Brexit! Sign the petition now.

We, the undersigned, demand that the government negotiate a youth mobility scheme with the EU, allowing our young people to access more opportunities (jobs, apprenticeships and study) on the continent. We want our young people to have more opportunities!

Swindon for Europe is a cross party, grass roots campaign group whose aim is to stop the damaging effects of Brexit, and work towards closer ties with Europe (and eventually rejoining the EU). We are also an affiliate branch of European Movement.

We don’t promote or endorse any one political party, we’re just a group of citizens, like you,  who are concerned that our democracy has been hijacked to serve the interests of a privileged few.  We’re concerned about the tone of the debate and rhetoric that started the referendum. We want to stop the worst effects of Brexit. We are passionate Europeans and believe that as a European nation, we should be at the heart of Europe. We must continue to work together with our European neighbours to secure peace and security in Europe and tackle borderless issues i.e. the environment.  We benefit greatly from the exchange of trade, skills, knowledge and investment within the EU.
We believe that our children’s futures would be better served by being a part of the EU and we object to our EU citizens’ rights being stripped away from us.
